Uddiptas posting cancelled

PUDUCHERRY: The orders to transfer IAS officer Uddipta Ray, secretary to the Lieutenant Governor and secretary power, to New Delhi has been cancelled by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). He has been appointed State Election Commissioner by the UT government following which he has sought voluntary retirement from his current service to take up the new assignment. However, transfer orders of five other officers is unchanged.
