After inquiring the relatives of the boy as well as some of his school friends, police concluded that homesickness had driven the student to take the extreme step. The vehicle of the accused hit a parked Innova car hired by the Uppal police, leaving one constable dead on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Sivakumar and the accused is Ch. Srinivas, owner of the Innova car. The accident took place in Kundukur on Sunday. Police said, six policemenwere returning from Kalvakurthy after completing a probe into a murder case when the vehicle got punctured.
