Paris: At least three people have been taken hostage at a post office near Paris, according to reports.
The three people have been taken hostage by an unknown gunman at a post office in Colombes, a northwest suburb of Paris, French media reported.
Other reports said there are two hostages. The gunman is armed and the police said there is no known link with last week's jihadist attacks.
Police cordoned off the area in Colombes and a helicopter was flying overhead.
Earlier, 17 people were killed in an attack in the office of satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo and thereafter.
