Three persons were killed when their two-wheeler was hit by a speeding bus on Indore-Dhar road, police said on Saturday.
The accident took place late Friday night when a Dhar bound bus hit the riders killing all of them on the spot, a sub-inspector (SI) from Chandan Nagar police station said. The bus dragged the trio to almost 150 feet before halting. They were proceeding towards Indore city.
The deceased were identified as Sakharam (20), Govind (19) and Pavan (25), the SI said. The bus driver fled from the spot after the mishap, he said. Enraged over the accident locals damaged the bus and tried to set it afire. However, police intervened on time and prevented them from doing so.
The bus has been impounded and a case has been registered in this regard.
