BHUBANESWAR:  IAS officer Prafulla Chandra Mishra, who has decided to take on the anti-corruption wing, is facing multiple cases of corruption. Mishra is currently facing charges of financial bungling running into several crores of rupees during his stint as chairman-cum-managing director of Odisha  State Beverages Corporation. Of the three cases slapped against him, the Vigilance has submitted final report of one in which he is accused of showing undue favours to suppliers causing a loss of `14.33 cr to the State exchequer.  In the second, he, and his subordinate officers, were alleged to have favoured the manufacturers to the tune of `18.34 cr. The Vigilance is waiting for sanction from the Government of India for submission of chargesheet. In the third case, relating to purchase of computers at a higher rate causing loss to the exchequer, sanction from the Odisha Government is awaited.
