Singh had claimed that Sunanda had accepted the blame for IPL wrongdoings.

New Delhi: Sunanda Pushkar's son, Shiv Menon is likely to record his statement on Sunday in connection with his mother's death probe.

Delhi Police's Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing Sunanda Pushkar death on Wednesday examined former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.

Singh had claimed that Sunanda had accepted the blame for IPL wrongdoings.

The IPL controversy had broken out in early 2010 when Shashi Tharoor was Minister of State for External Affairs. There were allegations that he had "misused" his office to ensure that Rs 70 crore, which was equivalent to 19 per cent equity in IPL Kochi franchise Rendezvous Sports, was paid to Sunanda.

The SIT has already questioned Tharoor, journalist Nalini Singh and various house hold helpers of Sunanda during the investigation. Sunanda's son may also be called for questioning in the case.

Bassi had said that Tharoor would be questioned again.

Sunanda was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a room of Hotel Leela in January 2014.
