Attributing her success to her family's support, the State SSLC topper said she wanted to be an aeronautical engineer.
"Despite my meticulous preparation, I hardly expected I would get the first rank. I practiced Math with my mother, who is a school teacher", Harini said. She secured a total of 496 marks, with full marks in Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, and 98 in Tamil and English each.M Bhuvana, from Vijayantha Higher Secondary School, Avadi, one of the State second rank holders, scored 495 marks with centums in Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, 97 in English and 98 in Tamil. The only daughter of S Padmashini, a government assistant engineer, she plans to become a chartered accountant.
