A man was arrested for allegedly carrying contraband worth Rs 8 lakh in the international market by Sashastra Seema Bal personnel on the Indo-Nepal border.
Shailesh Upadhyay from Kushinagar district was arrested on Friday night from Marchahwa and 4 kg charas worth Rs 8 lakh was recovered from his possession, SSB commandant KS Bankhithi told reporters. Another member of the gang managed to escape, he said.
