In yet another twist in the Sheena Bora murder mystery, it has now been revealed that her resignation letter, which appeared 13 days after her death, was sent by her brother Mikhail Bora, who had alleged that Indrani Mukherjea planned to eliminate him as well.
The police had earlier claimed that the resignation letter was written by a woman, who was apparently an employee of TV tycoon Peter Mukerjea's wife and Sheena's mother Indrani Mukherjea.
According to a report in The Telegraph, it was Mikhail who also wrote to Sheena's landlord following his sister's death to cancel her lease.
Apart from these, Mikhail also kept in operation Sheena's Linkedin profile till two weeks ago.
The revelations come after Mikhail told the police that he was in Mumbai on the night Sheena was allegedly murdered by Indrani and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna in a car.
Mikhail also told the police that he was Indrani's next target and that she had spiked his drinks on the same day Sheena was murdered.
Meanwhile, the Raigad police confirmed that no FIR was registered in 2012 after the body, suspected to be that of Sheena, was recovered. Addressing mediapersons, Raigad SP said that an inquiry had already been ordered as to why no FIR was registered in 2012.
Earlier, the doctor who first conducted the post mortem in the case has said that they were not able to ascertain even the gender of the body as it completely decomposed.
Speaking to CNN-IBN, the doctor said that samples were sent to JJ Hospital in Mumbai as nothing could be ascertained in the initial post mortem.
This came a day after JJ Hospital confirmed that it unable to determine the sex, age and cause of the death as the body they got for autopsy was too charred. The hospital on Friday handed over the samples of bones and teeth it received back in May 2012.
CNN-IBN, meanwhile, accessed the FIR on the Sheena Bora murder case which details how the crime was committed. Indrani Mukherjea, her driver Shyam Rai and ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna have been named in the FIR.
According to the FIR, Indrani, Shyam Rai and Sanjeev Khanna picked up Sheena from Bandra and later she was strangled to death inside the car and the body was kept in the vehicle's boot. The next morning, the bag with Sheena's body was burnt in Raigad.
This even as all three accused were on Saturday brought to the Khar police station in Mumbai for another round of questioning.
Amid these developments, the skeletal remains recovered from Raigad, believed to be that of Sheena Bora, have been sent to a forensic lab for testing.
