BANGALORE: The police exhumed the body of the 13-year-old Supritha who had committed suicide in K R Puram and conducted a postmortem on Wednesday. The body which was buried at Koudenahalli grave yard was exhumed with the permission of Special Tahsildar of Bangalore East Taluk Ballappa and a postmortem was conducted in the grave yard by forensic doctors of Dr B R Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
Supritha, a seventh standard student, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Ambedkar Nagar in K R Pura on Monday. The girl, who returned home crying at 3.30 pm, hanged herself and was found dead by 3.45 pm. Her parents had buried the body without informing the police about the incident. The incident had come to light only on Tuesday morning after some residents of the area had alleged that Supritha's school was responsible for her death.

The police were thinking of taking up a suo motu case, but Supritha's uncle Shankare Gowda filed a case suspecting foul play behind her death. "After this, a requisition was sent to the Special Tahsildar to permit us to exhume the body for postmortem. When he permitted, the body was exhumed and a postmortem was conducted.
