Salman Khan's 'Jai Ho' teaser: The Aam Aadmi Party effect?
Salman Khan's 'Jai Ho' teaser: The Aam Aadmi Party effect?
'Jai Ho' is a remake of Chiranjeevi's 2006 film 'Stalin'. It was directed by AR Murugadoss.

New Delhi: 'Aam aadmi sota hua sher hai', Salman Khan claims in the first teaser of his upcoming film 'Jai Ho' on Thursday. The stellar debut of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi Assembly elections and its relentless campaigning against corruption seem to have rubbed off on the makers of the film. And Salman seems to have adopted the cause of the mango people in the teaser that otherwise is similar to those of his other mega-successful films.

The film has been directed by Sohail Khan and features other than Salman, Daisy Shah, Tabu, Danny and Genelia D'Souza.

Salman plays the character of Major Jai Agnihotri while Tabu will be seen as Riya Agnihotri. The film is a remake of Telugu film 'Stalin' which featured Chiranjeevi in the lead.

'Stalin', directed by AR Murugadoss, was about an ex-Army officer who is now living a quiet life, but has some plans in his mind. He once used to be a war hero, but his time and fate have changed, and now he is forced to live a secluded life. However, one thing that hasn't changed is his passion for the country and for social welfare.

Salman Khan is reprising Chiranjeevi's role in 'Jai Ho'. Major Jai Agnihotri initiates a chain welfare programme where he is helping people and doesn't want mere thanks in return. He wants them to help three more people in order to keep the torch of welfare well lit.

The teaser of the film was released amidst fans, a trend which has started in Bollywood in recent times. But, is this strategy going to pay well for Salman Khan?

The teaser is as per the expectations. Salman Khan is doing exactly what was expected from him that is throwing weird looking goons in air.

In popular Southern films, we have seen protagonists fighting herds of roadside crooks in order to maintain peace in the society. Quite often, these heroes don't believe in the law of the land and takes the onus on themselves for playing the peacemaker.

The teaser shows Salman Khan hitting the baddies so hard that they fly at least 20 metres in space. But, this is not something he has done for the first time. Since his reincarnation as a superstar, he has been repeating himself in 'Dabangg 1 and 2', 'Ready' and 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

Of course, this is his stronghold but this will disappoint those who were expecting Salman to try his hands at something new.

One good thing about this teaser is Tabu, she always looks refreshing, but one has all the reasons to doubt about her role's length and potential. Daisy Shah is yet to be seen and that will keep the fans interested in the second trailer.

But, everything said and done, Salman Khan has an army of followers, and they are capable enough of making any of his films a superhit. The teaser is an instant hit on YouTube and that demonstrates the future of the film to some extent.
