As the countdown for WrestleMania 40 begins, WWE SmackDown came up with some build-up action for the ‘Show of Shows’. The show did a lot to excite and impress the fans and viewers. Emanating from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, the latest episode of WWE SmackDown managed to do a lot in terms of setting up more matches for WrestleMania. The show kicked off with Randy Orton teaming up with Kevin Owens to take on Pretty Deadly. Next, fans experienced a couple of Unified Tag Team Championship Qualifying Tournament Finals for the ladder match at WrestleMania. Finally, Bianca Belair took on Dakota Kai one-on-one in the show’s main event.

Logan Paul attacks Kevin Owens
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens are set to compete against Logan Paul at WrestleMania for the United States Championship. Their tag team match on SmackDown was booked after last week’s segment that saw Owens knock out both members of Pretty Deadly and then brag in front of Orton. During their match against Pretty Deadly on SmackDown, Owens was attacked by Logan Paul when the referee was distracted. The United States champion hit Owens in the face with brass knuckles, leading to a defeat for the duo.
IYO SKY gets blindsided by Bayley
During the show, the fans were treated to a video of Iyo Sky where she discussed her time with Bayley in Damage Ctrl. Sky talked about how she made Bayley relevant again after which the latter emerged out of nowhere and tossed one of the studio lights onto her. Officials emerged to separate the two divas.
Jade Cargill signs with WWE SmackDown
The show later saw SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis talk about how he wanted to make his brand the number-one WWE event. Aldis next mentioned that signing a new superstar has brought him closer to that goal. He then introduced Jade Cargill who made her way down to the WWE ring to sign the contract in Aldis’ hand. She concluded the segment by saying that the storm had just arrived.
Bianca Belair receives support from Naomi
After Bianca Belair lost her SmackDown match to Dakota Kai, the Kabuki Warriors appeared and started attacking her. That is when Naomi ran down the ramp to help Belair fend off Asuka and Kairi Sane. Amid the action, Jade Kargill also made her way to the ring and delivered a pump kick to Asuka. She then hit Kai with a powerbomb as the show went off air.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller vs Street Profits for WWE Unified Tag Team Championship Qualifying Tournament Finals – Austin Theory locked in the win by countering a frog splash with knees.
Legado del Fantasma vs New Catch Republic for WWE Unified Tag Team Championship Qualifying Tournament Finals – New Catch Republic sealed a victory via pinfall by putting Angel Garza through the Birming Hammer.
Bianca Belair vs Dakota Kai – Belair won by pinfall after hitting Kai with the KOD.
