THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Trivandrum Residents’ Apex Council (TRAC) has urged the authorities to take urgent action to rectify anomalies in the survey for the Karamana-Kalayikkavila Road and properly rehabilitate the families evicted for the road-widening.In a statement, TRAC general secretary K T Joy urged the MLAs of the five constituencies through which the road passes, the councillors of the City Corporation, municipalities and panchayats to convene a meeting of the evictees to reach a final solution. TRAC has also urged the new UDF Government to earmark sufficient funds in the budget for various projects such as Nursing College at Parassala, Vizhinjam Seaport Project, Kariavattom Stadium and the garbage disposal plant at Neyyattinkara for which the previous LDF Government had kicked off preliminary works.A TRAC district meeting held in the city on Friday also urged the State Government to roll back the hike in prices of LPG and kerosene.TRAC president Amaravila Ramakrishnan Nair presided over the function.
