The son of Narayan Rane, Nitish, who was booked for rash driving was released on bail on Monday.
Mumbai: The son of Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane, Nitish, who was booked for rash driving after his car hit a police personnel at Carter road, Khar, in western suburbs on Sunday night, was released on bail of Rs 3000 on Monday morning.
The Khar police said on Monday morning that the incident occurred at around 2120 hrs on Sunday when police havaldar Mahadeo Jadhav, on his way to home, was hit by Nitesh's car in which he had suffered minor injury.
Nitesh was booked under Section 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life), the police added.
Meanwhile, reacting to the incident, Mr Rane said the driver of the car was driving it, not his son and injury sustained by Mr Jadhav was minor.
