Rajasthan: A 14-year-old boy was killed when the Rajasthan Parliamentary Secretary's car ran over him.
Bhikha Ram belonged to a Dalit family living in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan and was coming home from the market when he was hit by the car.
The boy's relatives stold IBN that the Rajasthan Parliamentary Secretary Bhawani Singh Rajawat was in the car at the time of the accident. They also stated that Rajawat and the driver were carrying cartons of beer and both were drunk.
The police however say that this is untrue and that there was no alcohol in the car.
Rajawat was on his way to Jaisalmer to review the arrangements for Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje?s Jansampark yatra that starts on Saturday.
The police have registered a case against the driver and arrested him.
