Addressing Lok Sabha on the Ram Temple resolution on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said it was impossible to imagine Bharat without Lord Ram.
“We can’t imagine Bharat without Lord Ram. If anyone does that, he or she doesn’t know about Bharat,” he said.
Speaking about the Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration ceremony on January 22, he said, “January 22 will be a historic day for the years to come. It was the day that fulfilled the hopes and aspirations of all Ram devotees.”

The senior BJP leader said the demands of Ram devotees were not being heard, but after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he took steps to make Ram Mandir a reality.

He added that several countries across the globe, including Nepal and Indonesia, had accepted “Hindu epic Ramayan as an adarsh ideal text”.
