Ajmer: Four people were arrested and six others were detained on Sunday morning in connection with a group clash which left three people dead and several others injured in Nagaur district of Rajasthan.
A property dispute turned ugly in the village of Dangawas in Rajasthan's Nagaur district. 200 armed members of the Jat community killed three Dalits, injured several others and even sexually assaulted women.
"The men came and brutally beat us up. One of the men sexually assaulted me," a Dalit woman said.
The violence was sparked after one person was shot at a panchayat meeting to resolve a 40-year-old land dispute.
Meanwhile, Home Minister of Rajasthan Gulab Chand Kataria said that the police have no magical want to arrest the accused. "The police do not have a magic wand to make arrests immediately," he said.
Hundreds of Dalits from Nagaur district and surrounding villages have fled after this incident.
