After India won the last T20 World Cup, Vinod celebrated by painting a portrait of Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, which became very popular among cricket fans and the general public. He also received great appreciation for a portrait of former Chief Minister Karmaveerar Kamaraj, drawn on Beach Road for Kamaraj’s birthday.
Vinod mentioned that his interest in painting began in childhood, and he has always drawn what he observed without attending any formal art classes.
Another painter named Mahbub Ali is a resident of Nakrekal town, Nalgonda district, Telangana who creates art and does painting on rocks. It was his dream to make toys since childhood. He believes that his art supports his family. But youth are not giving importance to it and if this continues, this art will disappear in the future. He said that he is on a mission to present modern-day art. He said that the teacher, who recognised the talent in him, guided him forward from childhood.
While talking to Local18, he said, “I was born and brought up in Kothapalli. We were financially very poor from childhood. Venkata Ramana is my mentor who guided me and the reason why I am at this level today.”
