Prez condoles death of kids in boat tragedy

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam on Wednesday condoled the death of children and teachers in a boat tragedy in Kerala.

"I am deeply saddened to learn about the boat tragedy in which a number of children and their teachers of St. Stephen's School, Angamaly, lost their lives," Kalam said in a message to Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan.

"I am also sure that the state government is taking all possible steps to find the missing persons," he added.

The President also conveyed his condolence to the families of the deceased and wished an early recovery for those injured.
