New Delhi: One of the initial dancing stars of the Hindi film industry, Joy Mukherjee started with 'Love in Shimla' opposite Sadhana. Later on he went on to make films such as 'Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon', 'Love in Tokyo', 'Ziddi', and 'Ek Musafir Ek Hasina'.

Mukherjee also tried his hands in direction and made films like 'Love in Bombay' (1974), 'Chhaila Babu' (1977), 'Saanjh Ki Bela' (1981) and 'Umeed' (1989).
