Six Opposition MPs were suspended from Lok Sabha for five days for undermining the Chair’s dignity with their “unbecoming” conduct. The MPs had stormed the Well of the House, torn papers and
thrown it towards the Chair, says Speaker Sumitra Mahajan. All suspended MPs—Gaurav Gogoi, K Suresh, Adhir Rajan Chowdhury, Ranjeet Ranjan, Sushmita Dev and M K Raghavan—belong to the Congress.
