Nokia to launch Windows 8 tablet later this year

New Delhi: Now it's time for Nokia to foray into the tablet PC market. According to reports, the Finnish giant Nokia is going to come up with its tablet PC that will run Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system.

If rumours are to be believed, the device will feature a 10-inch screen, and will come powered with Qualcomm's dual-core processor.

Reportedly, Nokia's tablet will hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2012.

"Nokia is expected to outsource production of the 10-inch tablets to Compal Electronics with the first batch of shipments to top 200,000 units," reported Digitimes, an online tech publication.

However, Nokia officials refused to comment on the same.
