The city is all set to have a new amusement park with water sports facility. The Indore Development Authority (IDA) in collaboration with Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has prepared a blueprint for developing the Meghdoot garden. According to the plan, the recreational facility, spanning nearly 38 acres, will be developed jointly by the two agencies on a public-private partnership basis.
Bhopal: State celebrates Guru Purnima
On the eve of Guru Purnima, the city celebrated the occasion by conducting various programs. Deeksha ceremony was conducted at various ashrams of the city. Several children took deeksha from their respective gururs. Prayers to greet teachers were done at various schools.
Indore: IMI felicitates student and faculty
Indore Management Institute (IMI) felicitated the meritorious students and faculty members on the occasion of Guru Purnima. The institute’s chairman and secretary interacted with the faculty members and students. The chairman further added that they are planning to introduce new courses and provide better facility to the students.
Bhopal: 11 minor inmates escape from juvenile home
About eleven minor inmates from juvenile home escaped on Sunday. The incident took place at Jahangirbad when the minors threw chilli powder in the eyes of security guards and escaped. The guards raised an alarm and alerted the other staff. Six of the inmates were nabbed were five are still absconding. The police said that they are looking for the other five.
Bhopal: Students steal electronic goods from school, arrested
Three students of 12th standard stole computers and electronic goods worth Rs 1.5 lakh from Raja Bhoj Higher Secondary School. The students did so to arrange money for bribing to clear supplementary exams. The accused Tej Pratap Singh, Mayur Batham and Amit Yadav entered the school premise and escaped with computers, key boards, mouse and speakers. The police started investigating the matter after the school authorities lodged a complaint about the incident. The police have held the three accused and have recovered the goods.
Sehore: Govt school teacher sets wife on fire
A government school teacher set his wife on fire on Sunday at Kheri village. The accused, Santosh Kumar, a teacher at the Government Middle School, did so out of suspecting his wife’s character. The couple was having dispute for sometimes. On Sunday the accused burnt her wife alive. The neighbours rushed in to the house when they heard her scream but could not save her. The police have registered the case of murder against the teacher and arrested him.
