Angry relatives of a pregnant woman ransacked a private hospital situated on the Thillai Maistry Street following the death of the mother and baby post delivery early on Thursday morning.
In a complaint filed with the Odiansalai police station, Sivakumaran, husband of the deceased woman Rajamaheshwari (25), alleged that his wife fell off from the stretcher while being taken to the labour room which led to her death.
Odiansalai police station sub-inspector Nagaraj confirmed to Express that a complaint has been received from Sivakumaran. He added that a team of doctors would investigate the case and submit a report, following which further course of action would be decided.
