29. Nawalgarh is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Nawalgarh falls in Jhunjhunu district and North region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,57,038 voters in the seat, which includes 1,33,662 male voters, and 1,23,376 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Nawalgarh recorded a voter turnout of 71.6%. In 2013 the turnout was 73.16%, and in 2008 it was 64.5%.
In 2013, Dr Rajkumar Sharma of IND won the seat by a margin of 33,566 votes (20.91%). Dr Rajkumar Sharma secured 47.88% of the total votes polled.
BSP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 14,080 votes (11.68%), registering 41.71% of the total votes polled.
