National Tourism Day celebrated

CHENNAI: Students of Guru Shree Shantivijai Jain College for Women on Wednesday celebrated National Tourism Day at their campus in Vepery.State Tourism Minister Gokula Indira was the chief guest of the event. Addressing the students after inaugurating the day-long event, the minister spoke about the potential of tourism in the state and briefed them about the initiatives taken by the Tamil Nadu government to showcase some important  tourist spots.Apart from other events, different competitions, including banner designing, rangoli, food fiesta, powerpoint presentations and cultural dances from different states, were also held on the occasion.
