A Muslim organisation on Friday demanded a CBI probe into the last month's communal clash in Tonk district of Rajasthan, which claimed one life. The Sarva Muslim Biradari Mahasabha accused the ruling Congress as anti-minority and said Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot should resign for failing to protect the minority community.

"Tonk clash is the latest in a series of incidents against the minority community in Rajasthan. One man was killed in the clash and police are now targeting members of our community and trying to implicate them in false cases," Mehmood Khan, state president of the Mahasabha, said at a press conference.

Referring to earlier incidents, he claimed, "police inspector Phool Mohammad was burnt alive in Sawaimadhopur whereas 10 Muslims were killed in Gopalgarh firing in Bharatpur in 2011, but no step was taken by the government to protect the community."

Patron of the Mahasabha, Sohel Hindustani, alleged, Congress leaders scare minority community members in the name of BJP, but they themselves do not take step for uplifting the community.
