Bhutto has said that she would take part in the October 6 elections.
New Delhi: Former Pakistan prime minister, Benazir Bhutto claimed a breakthrough on Thursday in talks with Pakistan President General Musharraf's emissaries in London.
A short while ago she said her party was close to finalising an understanding with Musharraf.
She said private discussions were being held for a third term for prime ministers.
Bhutto also said that she would take part in the October 6 elections, but would vote against Musharraf.
She confirmed that she had recieved the draft of the National Reconciliation Bill, that will give her amnesty from the corruption charges she is facing.
The package will reportedly include:
- The General will give up his uniform in order to be re-elected President for the next five years. According to the Constitution, he needs to give up his military post by the end of this year.
- The President will relinquish his powers under Article 58-2b to dissolve elected Assemblies at will.
- Benazir will return to Pakistan — she indicated a legal amendment would clear all cases of corruption against her as they haven't been proved.
