BALANGIR: The Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Samata Express rammed a jeep killing two persons and injuring one at an unmanned level-crossing near Muribahal Railway Station on Tuesday.While Bidyadhar Sahu (42) of Dhandamunda village in Khaprakhol block died on the spot, Debanand Sahu (48) of Padampur village in Patrapali gram panchayat succumbed to his injuries at Titlagarh Government Hospital. The injured driver, Narayan Sahu, has been admitted to Titlagarh Government Hospital where his condition is stated to be critical. Reports said the three were vegetable vendors and returning to Balangir after selling vegetables at Muribahal weekly market when their jeep was hit by Samata Express at the unmanned level-crossing near Muribahal railway station. Such was the impact of the collision that the jeep got ripped off. The incident comes a day after a truck driver escaped narrowly with injuries after his vehicle was hit by the Bhubaneswar-Balangir Intercity Express at an unmanned crossing at Barahguda.
