BANGALORE: It is time again for the most awaited party of the season. Ranga Shankara’s annual Mango Party is scheduled on June 12 at from 3 pm to 6.30 pm. This is a party where the whole city is invited to share the joy of eating mangoes, the king of fruits and the gift of a tropical summer. The party is open to all. Just bring a kilo of any variety of mango, roll up your sleeves and dip into the pool to eat your heart’s fill. This has been an annual tradition at Ranga Shankara for nine years now. Girish Karnad, Professor U R Anantamurthy, B Jayashree are Nagabharana among other dignitaries will be present. There will be special events organised for children besides exciting games which will be hosted by Kirtana Kumar. As the tradition has been so far, the theatre community of Bangalore will not only enjoys the party but also break into theatre songs and interesting stories to share with all. This is a unique opportunity for audiences to meet their favourite theatre personalities. Children have a special place at Ranga Shankara always and at the Mango Party. There will be a special hour dedicated to them. Kirtana Kumar has devised Mango games and songs exclusively for the toddlers. An exquisite rhythm and jam circle is planned with Coordt Linke of Germany and our own Konarak Reddy.
