The reboot, which was earlier expected to release on July 17, 2015, will now hit the theatres on May 6, 2016.
Los Angeles: Warner Bros Pictures has announced that it is pushing the release date of director Zack Snyder's untitled 'Man of Steel' sequel almost by a year.
The reboot, which was earlier expected to release on July 17, 2015, will see Henry Cavill returning as Superman and co-starring Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader and will hit theatres now on May 6, 2016, reported E!online.
According to the release, the extra time is to allow the filmmakers to "fully realize their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story."
The decision was made after the start of production was rescheduled for the second quarter of this year.
The film will also be featuring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Bryan Cranston is rumored to play Lex Luthor.
