New Delhi: We have been hearing about the next-gen iPhone, unofficially dubbed, iPhone 5S, for a long time. Earlier reports have suggested that the iPhone 5S will feature a display carrying twice the pixels than the current generation, iPhone 5. But now MacRumors have published two pictures of what it claims to be Apple's upcoming iPhone 5S.
If the leaked photos are to be believed, the iPhone 5S will come with a dual LED flash. According to MacRumours observations, the main chip on the logic board is not labelled with an A-series name as it is generally labelled, like the A6 seen in the iPhone 5. The battery in the leaked photos has a more recent Apple Part Number of 616-0652 compared to the iPhone 5 battery. The battery also appears to be of a higher capacity compared to the battery of the iPhone 5.
Speculations are rife that the iPhone 5S will come with a quad-core processor and run iOS 7. Several reports are doing the rounds claiming that the iPhone 5S will come with a thinner bezel, thereby adopting the iPad mini like design, and will ship in Spetember.
Reportedly, Apple is also working on a cheaper iPhone model that could win it some market share in developing countries. Apple doesn't comment on future products before its launch events.
According to a recent Reuters report, Apple is exploring launching iPhones with bigger screens, as well as cheaper models in a range of colours, over the next year, said four people with knowledge of the matter, as it takes a cue from rival Samsung Electronics.
Sources claim that Apple may launch the cheaper iPhones in 5-6 colours. Reportedly, Apple is planning to launch cheaper models starting at $99.
