Passengers who will set out on the hartal day trusting the KSRTC bus services are likely to be left in the lurch as the state-run RTC is planning to cut short the number of long-distance trips. “We plan to cancel Super Fast and Deluxe Express services. There will not be any AC Volvo bus service on the hartal day,” said ATO K Venugopal.
The decision to suspend services were taken by the KSRTC after buses were attacked near the Aluva Palace on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, the Railways authorities said that they have not cancelled any trains in the wake of the hartal. “In case there is any agitation or protest, we will depend on the police,” said an official with Southern Railways.
