KARAIKAL: It has almost become a tradition with politicians in Karnataka to visit the Lord Saneeswara temple at Karaikal. On Saturday, it was the turn of V Somanna, minister for housing, who offered worship at the renowned temple. Temple executive officers S K Panneerselvam and Kattalai Thambiran Swamigal welcomed the minister. The minister witnessed the ‘thailabishekam’ at the Saneeswara bhagwan sannathi. Other dignitaries from Karnataka who had visited the temple are external affairs minister S M Krishna, former PM HD Deve Gowda, his son HD Kumaraswamy and former CM Yeddyurappa.
