New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has replied back to senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh on the latter’s allegation of a ‘mole’ in the Prime Minister’s Office during the regime of PV Narasimha Rao.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday, the Prime Minister's media adviser, Sanjaya Baru said the letter written by Jaswant Singh does not mentions any name.
"No such name has been given by Jaswant Singh," Baru said.
Baru said since Saturday many sections of the media have been reporting that Jaswant Singh has given some name to the Prime Minister who used to leak nuclear secrets to the US during Rao’s tenure.
He added that the letter received by the PM is the same as the one given to the press and that no new information has been provided in the letter.
“PM has written a letter and says that if Jaswant Singh has any concrete information then he should come up with the details either through press or directly. PM has also asked why this was not raised earlier when he was aware about this,” Baru said.
