New York: Wednesday's slate at the US Open features three women's quarter-final matches, two men's quarter-final matches and a pair of fourth-round men's matches.

Women's second seed Justine Henin-Hardenne will take on No 10 Lindsay Davenport before third seed Maria Sharapova battles against Tatiana Golovin.

Top seed Amelie Mauresmo has an afternoon match against No 12 Dinara Safina.

Ninth seed Andy Roddick goes against No 15 Lleyton Hewitt in the second men's quarter-final of the day after second seed Rafael Nadal takes on Mikhail Youzhny.

Top seed Roger Federer plays his fourth round match against Marc Gicquel.

Just one singles match was completed on Tuesday before play was suspended by rain.

The lone match provided an upset as fourth-seeded Elena Dementieva was beaten by Jelena Jankovic 6-2, 6-1 in the quarter-finals.

Jankovic will be playing in her first grand slam semi-final later this week.

Men's seventh seed Nikolay Davydenko was leading No 17 Andy Murray 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 when their fourth-round match was suspended.

Marat Safin and No 14 Tommy Haas had played just three games in their fourth-rounder before rain caused their match to be postponed until Wednesday.
