HYDERABAD: Pune based stud farm owner Hasan Ali Khan, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for money laundering and tax evasion, is in for further trouble as the Central Crime Station (CCS) here is set to register a case against him under the Passport Act. He allegedly obtained the passport from the Regional Passport Office (RPO) by furnishing false information.
Sources told Express that Hasan Ali obtained the passport in which he mentioned his first wife's name as his spouse after they had been divorced for several years, which is seen as a violation of the Passport Act.Sources said this was Hasan Ali's second passport. His first was impounded by the city police way back in 1996 after he was arrested in a cheating case. Thereafter, he applied for a second passport by furnishing false information.

The ED submitted a report to the RPO here stating that Ali had furnished false information to obtain a second passport. Following this, the RPO wrote to the Hyderabad City Police based on which a case is being registered by the CCS.

The RPO at Patna has already filed an FIR at Kotwali police station against Hasan Ali for submitting fake information on his residential address while applying for a passport in December 2010.

"The details about Hasan furnishing false particulars surfaced while being grilled by ED,'' sources added.
