HYDERABAD: A man from Jharkhand, who was in possession of a countrymade firearm, live rounds and a fake arms licence, was nabbed by the city police on Thursday. The 31year Digvijay Singh secured employment with a private security agency on the strength of a fake licence and was posted at YES Bank at Banjara Hills as a security guard.
According to Task Force DCP Ch Ramchander, the accused was a farmer at his native place and came to Hyderabad for a better living. At first, he joined Advance Security Services with a salary of `5,000. "Digvijay Singh found that those having licensed gun and employed as a guard are earning double his salary and asked a person, Vikas Singh, to help him get him a gun and a licence. Vikas Singh introduced Digvijay Singh to another man from Mugal Sarai in Bihar, RK Dubey, who helped him procure a countrymade doublebarrel gun with three live rounds and a fake arms licence for `25,000. Initially, Digivjay Singh worked as a security guard for Writers Safe Guard agency for five months. For the past one and a half months he has been working for Stalwart Securities for `12,000 and posted at YES Bank in Banjara Hills," Ramchander said.
