BANGALORE: In the contemporary world, it is easier to head to the nearest fast food joint to grab a bite, mostly unhealthy.  But, bucking the trend, Nature Nest serves natural food, quite fast, to its customers. A week-old, the outlet in Rajajinagar serves natural food and beverages. Food refers to sprouts and beverages refers to tender coconuts. This is the second outlet in the city after an outlet in Jayanagar. If you think, that there is a lack of choice, then you are mistaken. They serve 18 different flavours of tender coconut water in their outlet located near Navrang theatre. Ginger flavour, Chat masala flavour, lemon flavour, and honey flavour are some of the mindboggling flavours of tender coconut available in the shop.  Different varieties of fruit and vegetable salads, vegetable sprouts,  soups, and fruit ice-creams enhance the healthy menu. Also, oil, sugar and preservatives which affect health  adversely are not used in any of the products. Their signature dish is ‘Hareera’, a type of kheer which is prepared by mixing various fruits, wheat and other ingredients. The idea of Nature Nest originated with the research and development team of Nature Drink Retail (India) Private Limited. The recipe for their various products were fine tuned based on the feedback given by the customers. “We take around one year to research and bring out a recipe. The purpose of conducting the experiment is to serve people a product of best quality,” said Panku Sagar, the owner of Nature Nest, Rajajinagar.Girish, the managing director of Nature Drink Retail (India) private limited, who hails from agricultural background intends to support farmers with this initiative. “Around 3,000 to 4,000 tender coconuts are purchased from the farmers per month with an intention to help them financially,” said Anand Kumar S P, director of Nature Drink Retail (India) Private Limited. The company is planning to set up around 30-40 outlets in the city. Anand concluded, “Apart from setting up new outlets across the city, we are planning to introduce around 300 new recipes in the coming days.” For details call: 42351727.
