A four-year-old girl was tragically killed after being run over by a car in a residential area of Gujarat’s Mehsana on Monday.
The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred as the young girl, identified as Disha Patel, was cycling near her home in what appeared to be a gated community.
The video shows the young girl losing her balance and falling off her bicycle as an electric car approached. Before she could get up, the vehicle ran over her, causing her immediate death.
The driver of the car stopped immediately and exited the vehicle to check on the child, who had ended up underneath the white car. According to media reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
However, police have registered a case based on a complaint from the girl’s parents. The driver is being identified using CCTV footage. Local authorities are continuing to investigate the matter.
