The CBI said it would finalise the investigation into the Emaar case and file a final chargesheet soon.
In its arguments opposing the bail petitions moved by the two accused in the Emaar scam - suspended IAS officer B P Acharya and G Vijaya Raghava - the CBI said the agency had completed questioning of Shravan Gupta only on Thursday.
“We want to examine some public servants and witnesses. We also want to examine Dinesh Jain (an associate of Shravan Gupta) from whose house the Enforcement Directorate had recovered more than Rs 6.83 cr,” CBI deputy legal advisor Balla Ravindranath said.
Dinesh Jain is still absconding and if he comes early, we will file chargesheet in two days.
