Fiancees plea gets bail for accused in sex scam

KOCHI: Here is a rare guarantor to bail out an accused in a sex scam.  In an interesting development in the Paravoor sex scandal, the fiancee of Bijith, an accused in the case, on Friday filed an affidavit before the court stating that it would be an irreparable loss if her marriage with Bijith is not solemnised.The Kerala High Court finally granted bail to Bijith also.On a petition filed by Bijith, Kollam, the 154th accused in the case, the High Court granted interim bail for a period of one week in order to facilitate his marriage.The petitioner is now in Viyoor Central jail. Justice K T Sankaran directed that the petitioner should report before the jail superintendent on September 5.  The court further said that the petitioner should execute a bond of Rs 25,000 and surrender his passport before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, North Parur.The petitioner produced a copy of his marriage invitation before the court to support his claim.The petitioner’s marriage is fixed for September 1 at Kollam.
