As the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest continues to move towards the national capital on Wednesday, traffic restrictions also continue to remain in place in Delhi-NCR areas.
Security has also been further beefed at many of the locations in Delhi and its connecting borders. Rapid Action Force personnel along with police teams and Riot Control Vehicle are deployed at the Singhu border to ensure maintenance of law and order situation.

Massive traffic snarls were also seen at the Ghazipur border, where security was further tightened on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, multi-layer barricades, concrete blocks, pickets, iron nails and walls of containers have been placed at Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur borders. During the early hours of Wednesday, authorities got more concrete poured between the concrete slabs at the Tikri Border to make the arrangements stronger for day-2.

The police have also sealed rural roads bordering Haryana to stop the protestors from entering Delhi.

Delhi Police on Tuesday issued a fresh traffic advisory to ensure prevention of any inconvenience to the commuters and to prevent any untoward incident.
The Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday issued a traffic alert and said that in view of the “deployment of picket/checking on DND Flyway, traffic is heavy on both the carriageways of the DND Flyway.”
“Commuters from Noida to Delhi and vice-versa are advised to take alternative routes like Chilla Border route,” the alert added.
