Exclusive: Top shooters dropped!
Manchester Commonwealth games Gold medalist Anjali Bhagwat and Athens Olympic finalist Suma Shirur are not in the shooting team.

New Delhi: The Indian shooting team for the 2006 Commonwealth games will be announced on Wednesday but CNN-IBN has exclusive information that there are a few surprises in store.

The gold medalist at 2002 Manchester Commonwealth games Anjali Bhagwat will not represent India in her favourite 10 meter air rifle event.

Anjali had won two of her four gold medals in the 2002 games in the air rifle event but she will be defending just her 50 meter rifle 3 position gold medal.

Another major exclusion from the team is Athens Olympic finalist Suma Shirur.

Suma has missed out on a spot in the 10 meter air rifle team and will not be a part of the shooting team although she had won a gold and a silver in the last games.
