New Delhi: The water level in the Yamuna has been rising steadily due to the incessant rains in the capital for the past five days.

The government, however, says there is no need to panic as yet. No evacuations have been ordered so far.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court has directed the government to set up a committee to solve the problem of waterlogging. The Committee will have a representative from all city agencies like the MCD, the NDMC, the Jal Board, the PWD, the Railways, the DDA and the DMRC.

Meanwhile, in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, many homes have been submerged due to the heavy rainfall. Roads are waterlogged and schools and offices are closed.

District officials have been told to monitor the situation.
