KOCHI: The Kerala Federation of CBSE and ICSE Schools has condemned the government decision to deny No Objection Certificate (NOC) to new CBSE and ICSE schools in the state.
Kerala CBSE School Managements Association president T P M Ibrahim Khan, in a release, said the government should not make the CBSE schools in the state a scapegoat by denying the NOC."The CBSE schools in the state are set up by charitable trusts and organisations and majority of them are working through public participation. Over 800 CBSE schools are operating in the state imparting quality education to the students. In the last five years, the government has not given NOC to over 500 new schools," he said.

Khan said the decision has affected its affiliation. "The government will have to face serious repercussions if they fail to give NOC to the schools," he said.
