Deaf-mute woman gangraped in UP

Lalitpur: A 45-year-old deaf and mute woman was allegedly gangraped and thrown from a train at Lalitpur Railway Station on Friday night in Uttar Pradesh.

The woman hailing from Banda was allegedly raped by two men late last night and thrown from the train while it slowed down at the railway station, district magistrate Dr Rupesh Kumar said.

She has been admitted to the district hospital for medical examination, the DM said adding that so far FIR has not been lodged and investigations were on.
