A young couple committed suicide at H Muravali village in Peddakadubur mandal on Thursday following a heated argument over migration to Bengaluru.
According to police, Boya Govindu (32) and his wife Nagamma (29), both farm labourers, migrated to Bengaluru a year ago.
Leaving their two children -- Urukundamma (10) and B Veeranjaneyulu (7), studying in 4th and 2nd classes respectively, with Govindu’s parents, the duo were working as labourers at construction sites in Bengaluru.
Recently, they came to H Muravali to take a new ration card being issued in the village. On Wednesday, the couple got the new ration card and also completed other personal works.
Govindu told Nagamma to pack things to leave for Bengaluru but she did not want to go to the city. When Govindu insisted that they should move, Nagamma had an argument with him in the night.
