Cop caught smuggling Ganja to jail

SALEM:  A police constable was suspended on charges of smuggling ganja inside the Salem Central Prison on Sunday. Prison sources said Ganesan was caught while being frisked inside the jail premises. All entrants, including prison security staff were being frisked following complaints of illegal use of mobile phones, ganja and intoxicants by inmates.Ganesan was found smuggling ganja hidden under the sole of his shoes. After preliminary inquiry, Ganesan was suspended and further investigations are on, said S Parameswaran the jail superintendent. Officials are trying to find which prisoner was getting ganja from the policeman.
