A railway police constable shot dead his immediate senior after an argument in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district.
Jammu: A railway police constable shot dead his immediate senior after an argument in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, police sources said on Sunday.
The incident took place Saturday night when constable Sonu Sharma had a tiff with Assistant Sub Inspector Bishan Dass, incharge of the railway police post at Chhan Rorian railway station, about 60 km south of Jammu.
After a heated exchange of words, the constable shot Dass and subsequently turned the gun on himself, the sources said.
This is the first case of fragging in a police force in Jammu and Kashmir though there have been such instances in the Indian Army and paramilitary forces in the state.
Senior police officers were tight-lipped about the incident.
